The Penn Warren - Loft Apartment Homes, Clarksville, Tennessee

History

The Penn Warren was originally built in 1906 as the Clarksville High School and added on to in subsequent years. The school was closed and moved in 1976 and redeveloped into Greenwood Place Apartments in 1982 by partners and graduates Jerry Clark and John Roe.

In 2010, the building was acquired by a couple of real estate entrepreneurs and went through an extensive update and was renamed The Penn Warren, after it’s most notable gradate, Robert Penn Warren.
